UK and Czech Republic in EU

The UK and the Czech Republic are active EU partners and the British Embassy in Prague is working hard to strengthen this relationship. The Embassy works closely on a wide range of issues with Czech Ministers and officials, and with representatives of business, the media, think tanks, universities and NGOs. We work to understand Czech EU interests and positions, to make the UK’s case, and – together – to shape EU policy-making to promote an EU that delivers for its citizens in response to global challenges.

The UK believes that in an increasingly globalised world we need an outward-looking EU that delivers prosperity, opportunity and security to all Europe’s citizens and makes a positive impact on the world.  Issues like reducing international crime, promoting trade, managing migration and tackling climate change need European countries to work together.
