The British Embassy in Prague is supporting the Czech Republic’s preparations for its Presidency of the EU. Respekt Global Europe Series

A series of seminars organised in co-operation with Respekt Institute focusing on how global issues affect the EU, as set out in the UK Global Europe paper. [Click here to read the pamphlet (pdf).] The aim of the project is to stimulate debate on these issues in the run-up to the Czech Presidency of the EU by bringing together Czech and UK experts from various backgrounds and securing wider public outreach in a Respekt Weekly supplement and through dissemination of debate summaries. Previous seminars have focused on climate change and energy, and competitiveness. Participants of the seminars have included senior officials from the UK and the Czech Republic, experts, academics and representatives of NGOs.
