Defence

The defence section advises UK military companies in the Czech Republic.

The UK and Czech Republic co-operate closely on defence matters. On these pages you can read more about these activities and the work of the Defence Section at the British Embassy in Prague, headed by our Defence Attaché.

The Defence Attaché at the British Embassy in Prague represents the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS). He is an army officer working alongside Foreign and Commonwealth Office colleagues. His main tasks are:

  • maintain the bilateral defence relationship that exists between the British and Czech Armed Forces
  • provide military advice to the Ambassador on all matters concerning the British and Czech Armed Forces
  • provide in conjunction with UKTI / BERR assistance to British Defence companies wishing to conduct business in the Czech Republic
