Useful Advice for Prague Visitors
You should also take your European Health Insurance Card with you on your trip. This card won’t cover everything, so it’s important that you have third party Comprehensive Health Insurance Plan as well.
The national currency in the Czech Republic is the Czech Crown. Exchange signs can often be misleading, so always double check what you will receive before making any transactions.
Although the public transportation system in the Czech Republic is excellent, if you choose to go by taxi make sure you take one from a Fair Price Taxi Point or call a company directly. This way you will not pay more than you should.
It’s a law in the Czech Republic to always carry identification on you. But do be careful of your personal belongings on public transportion. We very rarely issue passports outside of regular working hours and there is a fee involved.
When enjoying a nice walk through Prague, it’s always important to keep in mind that trams have the right of way…. Even at pedestrian crossings.
