Will I be stopped at the border?
Yes. On arrival in the UK you will be required to show your passport or identity card to the Immigration Officer.
Can I travel just with my ID card?

Will my Czech driver's licence be recognised in the UK?
What do I have to do to receive a British driving licence?EU Nationals who hold a valid Community licence and are visiting Great Britain can drive any vehicle for as long as their licence remains valid. The appropriate full entitlement for the vehicle you wish to drive must be shown on your licence. EU Nationals resident in Great Britain and who hold a valid Community licence can drive in Great Britain on their community licence (subject to certain conditions). Will quarantine be abolished for Czech cats and dogs entering UK?
Quarantine was not abolished on 1 May 2004, however The Pet Travel Scheme (PETS) was introduced for dogs and cats travelling from certain European countries including the Czech Republic. PETS is the system that allows pet animals from certain countries to enter the UK without quarantine as long as they meet the rules. It also means that people in the UK can take their pets to other European Union (EU) countries, and return with them to the UK.Further information about PETS is available at DEFRA .
